We are proud to announce that Dr. Edvard I. Moser, awarded the 2014 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, has joined Hypnus as Chief Scientist. Renowned for his discovery of the brain's grid‐cell "GPS system," Dr. Moser will spearhead our research and development, applying his pioneering neuroscience expertise to solve the global sleep crisis.
· Grid Cell Discovery (2005): Uncovered neurons that create a spatial coordinate system for navigation and memory.
· Neural Circuit Mapping: Advanced methods to trace and manipulate brain networks underpinning cognition and memory consolidation.
· Sleep‐Dependent Memory Research: Illuminated how hippocampal and entorhinal processes during sleep solidify learning and support cognitive health.
Under Dr. Moser's leadership, Hypnus will accelerate the translation of neuroscience into our product suite:
Dr. Moser will guide the optimization of our AI‐powered sleep staging to achieve medical‐grade accuracy in detecting sleep phases from EEG signals.
He will oversee the calibration of the Hypnus Ring's high–precision EEG and multi‐axis motion sensors, ensuring seamless integration of brain and body data.
Dr. Moser will lead new partnerships with premier sleep clinics and research institutions—building on our existing collaborations in 11 top‐tier hospitals—to validate efficacy across diverse patient populations.
Leveraging his insights into neural mechanisms, Dr. Moser will help develop adaptive, real-time sleep interventions that promote deeper, more restorative sleep at an individual level.
Hypnus is committed to redefining sleep health through innovative wearables and AI-driven analytics. Backed by five years of R&D, 25 patents, and over 30 peer-reviewed publications, we partner with leading medical institutions to bring scientifically validated sleep solutions to market.
